THE DIGNITY WALK

What is a Dignity Walk?

At IDRF we believe each and every human being deserves to live a dignified life. We believe that every individual can make a contribution to ensure that all people live with dignity.

How?

By participating in a walk for Dignity.
By registering to raise funds as an individual or a team.
By saying I care about my community and those around the world who are struggling to make ends meet and are living in substandard situations due to circumstances that are out of their control including lack of water, food, shelter, health services and education.
By saying that no one deserves to be mistreated due to their gender, race, ethnicity, creed, ability or orientation. We stand together with all community groups to say no to discrimination and yes to inclusion.

What do we hope to achieve?

The walk will be an opportunity to raise awareness about the work of IDRF both locally across Canada as well as globally throughout 25+ projects around the world. The events are also an opportunity to raise funds to further the work that IDRF is doing in these countries as well as to start new projects that support the development and empowerment of women, children, men, orphans and families so that no only do they meet their basic needs as human beings, but that they have the skills and tools required to live a life of prosperity. A life of self-sufficiency. A dignified life.

How will the walk be run?

The Walk will take place in Toronto, Canada. It will be 5km in length and will allow for teams & for all people without any form of discrimination to participate in a pledged march either as an individual or as a team (minimum 4 people) to walk for the cause that touches their heart.
